You need an Ethernet SAN.

Take a Trashcan Mac Pro with Black Magic Resolve software and 2x Sonnet Twin 10G/RJ45 boxes and connect this to a miniDDP48DF.
With 4K, 4096 x 3072 pixels and 10bit log colour resolution play back can be increased to 40 frames/sec equivalent to 1920 MByte/s. This bandwidth is even good for 6K @ 24 frames/sec.
For those using Windows: use a Black Magic recommended workstation and install a dual 10GbE Myricom optical or RJ45 card: same results.
For those using 4K/UHD and other compressed 4K formats on Mac one Sonnet box is sufficient.
